ARE TELOMERES THE KEY TO AGING AND CANCER?
Cawthon's study found that when people are divided into two groups based on telomere lengths, the half with longer telomeres lives five years longer than those with shorter telomeres. That suggests lifespan could be increased five years by increasing the length of telomeres in people with shorter ones.

Personal Genome Project
"We believe individuals from the general public have a vital role to play in making personal genomes useful. We are recruiting volunteers who are willing to share their genome sequence and many types of personal information with the research community and the general public, so that together we will be better able to advance our understanding of genetic and environmental contributions to human traits and to improve our ability to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness. Learn more about how to participate in the Personal Genome Project."

When and How Does the Decay of Your Immune System Start?
Evolution is a harsh but efficient mistress; you can consider yourself surprisingly well optimised as a piece of machinery, but your warranty only goes so far as the number of years in which your recent ancestors contributed to the success of their offspring. After that, you're on your own - biochemical processes unwind and break down free from any past selective pressure to do better.

Lists of Alkalizing and Acidic Food
As a general rule of thumb, your daily meals should be 3/4 alkaline – this means that each time you eat you should see to it that the foods you put in your mouth should contain 3 times as much alkaline as they do acid. The following are some commonly-known alkaline foods. It pays to have them on a list and placed on the refrigerator door, or become staples when you do your grocery shopping.

Fight Aging
"We are on the verge of a revolution in medicine: understanding, treating, and ultimately preventing the causes of degenerative aging. But medical revolutions only happen if we all stand up in support of funding and research. We did it for cancer. We're doing it for Alzheimer's. We can do it for aging - and create an era of longer, healthier lives!"

Mere Visual Perception of Other People’s Disease Symptoms Facilitates a More Aggressive Immune Response
Abstract
An experiment (N = 28) tested the hypothesis that the mere visual perception of disease-connoting cues promotes a more aggressive immune response. Participants were exposed either to photographs depicting symptoms of infectious disease or to photographs depicting guns. After incubation with a model bacterial stimulus, participants’ white blood cells produced higher levels of the proinflammatory cytokine interleukin-6 (IL-6) in the infectious-disease condition, compared with the control (guns) condition. These results provide the first empirical evidence that visual perception of other people’s symptoms may cause the immune system to respond more aggressively to infection. Adaptive origins and functional implications are discussed.

Honor Life
Alhough we know that dying is inevitable we sometimes live as if we were inmortal and our time here were endless.
The basement of our existence is health: spiritual, mental and physicall health, which are linked one to another.
We should respect these aspects and realize that all of them make us what we are, when we ignore one of them balance is lost.
Consciousness is the key: being aware that we ARE spirit AND mind AND body. Feeding them with care, training them, knowing them, enjoying them, treating them with respect..we are honoring ourselves and our lives, and that means to honor Life.
